World Alzheimer’s Day is an opportunity to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and the need for more education, support and research! Millions of families across the United States and the world are affected by this disease.
There are many simple ways you can mark this day and promote the necessity of finding a cure to this disease.
For instance, like me, change your Facebook portrait wearing purple or become an Alzheimer’s association Champion (http://www.alz.org/wv/in_my_community_10469.asp).
My lab (Megan, left, I, center, and Matt, right) are working relentlessly to better understand how Alzheimer’s disease starts in the brain and hopefully to find a cure to prevent this disease from occurring with aging.
If you want to support our efforts to stopping Alzheimer’s, please visit our DONATE page. Thanks!
